Hey all! This is gonna be a short note due to time constraints.... I've been reading all of your wonderful emails! I just spent a week in my new village. Looks like it will be cool. Electricity kind of..... I'll only be using it for my fan and my radio cause I fear the large bugs that the two florescent bulbs attract. But I like candlelight, so that's no big deal.
To answer some posed questions .... for those of you who have visited Niki's website www.rockonthecoast.com , the pictures with the huge bowls are water jars and are used for storing rain water; and no, the Peace Corps isn't just a bunch of young people hanging out and partying in a tropical atmosphere, but the training for it is!
Training ends on April 12 when we swear in as official volunteers. Very exciting. Then I'll be by myself in my village for a long, long time. I have a new adress at my new site, but you can still always use the old address too:
