Email #15 "Status of Erin :("
Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know that we got a call from Washington tonight and due to the "escalating violence", the program in Cote d'Ivoire is being closed and PCVs are being sent home. Erin should be arriving here within 10 days (unless she decides to travel, but I think not, she's pretty depressed and so are we). I guess I knew this deep within, but really didn't want to hear it. Haven't talked with her yet . . . thanks for all your continued support. Of course we all worry about the victims in Ivory Coast - the every day people (what's that song again?) that just want to live their lives . . . and that's the human bond that our leaders somehow haven't got right yet . . . hope to discuss this further with you as things unfold.
